With porous resin moulds, high pressure casting delivers 20 or more products per shift from a single mould where traditional plaster casting allows only one or two. With proper coordination of mould design and slip formulation, CASTIMO moulds achieve over 100,000 casting cycles. All resins ship as 4-5 component systems with long processing times and high pressure resistance.

The business case
Castimo offers four and five component porous resin systems in FINE PORE, MICRO and PRO versions. Each system is selected according to application, mould size and production requirements for optimal performance in high-pressure casting processes.
The finest pore structure in the range for delicate surfaces and fine slip formulations where surface quality takes priority over cycle speed. The extended processing time allows complex mould geometries to be cast without defects.
Small pore structure of 12–15 microns, designed for fine slip parts the tight structure reduces pore clogging and keeps casting behaviour stable over the mould’s lifetime.
Medium to large pore structure of 16–19 microns for maximum drainage delivering products around 25 % faster than the MICRO version where slip formulation allows it.
