Indicative values for WC production. Final capacities depend on product geometry, mold configuration and operating conditions. Detailed output calculations (gross / GPO / WRO) are provided per project.
Services Expertise at every stage
A turnkey plant is more than equipment. Castimo brings the engineering and process know-how that turns a layout into stable, repeatable production.
Expert planning and evaluation for ceramic production systems.
Analyze and optimize processes for efficiency, less waste and consistent quality.
Fast, effective help in identifying and resolving production issues.
Slip and glaze formulations for stable processing and high product quality.
Structured execution to German industrial standards.
Comprehensive quality assurance and reliable support.
Controlled investment, full scalability
A structured two-phase strategy enables a fast, investment-optimized market entry while keeping full flexibility for future automation and capacity expansion without interrupting ongoing production.
Phase 1
Fully based on high pressure casting for a fast production start, high efficiency and competitive unit costs with reduced operational complexity.
Phase 2
Approx. 80% HPC and 20% plaster casting — adding flexibility for complex or lower-volume products, plus glazing automation and capacity expansion.
ANKA series & battery type
At the heart of the plant, the ANKA High Pressure Casting systems combine casting technology, robotic handling, material-flow management and controlled process engineering for continuous industrial operation. Figures below are based on toilet (WC) production — one of the most demanding sanitaryware groups.
High pressure casting needs up to ~6× less production space than conventional plaster casting. Porous resin moulds typically achieve 70,000 to 100,000+ casting cycles with optimized mould design and proper operating conditions.
Core casting unit
A battery-type HPC system with centralized slip supply forms the core; drying, glazing and logistics are dimensioned to the casting output.
| Core casting unit | Battery-type HPC system with centralized slip supply |
| Moulds per machine | up to 12 |
| Example configuration | 3 HPC machines · 3 shifts/day · ~300 days/year |
| Gross output | approx. 388,800 pcs/year |
| Saleable output (85% yield) | approx. 330,000 pcs/year |
| Downstream systems | drying, glazing & logistics dimensioned to casting output |
Example high-volume configuration from a Castimo concept; final specification is project-dependent.
Order to stable production
A proven implementation sequence under standard conditions some activities run in parallel to optimize overall duration.
Engineering and final design, equipment manufacturing, factory testing and shipment preparation. Approx. 20–30 weeks.
Mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning and testing. Approx. 10–16 weeks.
Production trials, process optimization and stabilization to target output, with operator training. Approx. 5–10 weeks.
Total: approximately 35–55 weeks from order confirmation to stable production. Final timeline confirmed during detailed engineering.
